NCIS's Abby Sciuto

I did this as my daughter Emily, she pleaded with me, she even gave me the 'eyes'. You know the ones, the ones that make you go into a trance and agree to anything!!.
This week I had a really nice surprise as I had an e-mail off an old school buddy that I hadn't seen nor heard from for over 38 years ( I was at junior school and leaving for secondary school aged 11!). I has been great to hear from him and it has led to getting in contact with another school friend from the same time. So there are going to be some embarrassing stories flying around. I might even share some of them on here, there again..........

Miranda Hart

Heres my version of the British comedian Miranda Hart, grossly passed by, until she had her own show on the BBC 2, called 'Miranda'. very funny, and if you get the chance to see this program, please do, you'll not regret it. She was also in the first couple of series, of another British sit com 'Not Going Out' currently on Dave at the moment.
She has just won some awards which she justly deserves. Just in case your wondering I did the first one !

A quick sketch of an old school buddy, Steve Barnes, I thought it was time that I drew him.

Brian Cowen - finished!

Finished him, I realy enjoyed this picture, and enjoyed using the new Photoshop CS5.
It has given me a little idea of a theme for the next few drawings, Political Casualties Of The Recession! Hey its just an idea!

WIP Brian Cowen

These are the working pictures of Brian Cowen, the Taoiseach of Ireland, so far, though I dought if he will remain so for much longer. Another casualty of the world resession and the deap feelings of ordenary folk of the world, who are paying for the Banks and Government failings.
I thought that I would post these pictures of how the work is going so far.
It has been a while since I did a full digital painting from start to finish, Its been intresting and fun, and I had to rein myself in as it would of lost the person who it was ment to be.

Felicity Jones part 2!

This is the second attempt at this lady, this time I used sketch that I did when working on drawing her. I then used Photoshop CS5 (trial)as the program to See the difference between CS4 and CS5. Some of the tweaks are good in CS5, but Im not sure if they are worth upgrading too. No dought if I did decide to upgrade to CS5, by the the time I get it they (Adobe) with bring out another version CS6, with in weeks! I wish that they would leave new stuff alone for a few years at least !

The first finished painting of 2011

Here is the first of my artwork for this year, this time of an up comming actress Felicity Jones.
Well I hope that all of you had a nice and peaceful festive time, and I hope that you all have a peaceful 2011, and too my fellow artists, may your strokes be true to your eye.
